This ebook is a combination of patterns originally contained in three other books of mine Forks, Lined up pieces, Defensive patterns. The information contained in my former books was limited by the size of the files, which could not be exceeded to maintain the price to 1 $. Here, with a small increase of price, there's no limit to the content, with a lot of diagrams (150 overall), to help understanding the patterns.
The patterns are TACTIC patterns ONLY.
It presents also easy access to more games located on my Web site, as usual.
If you are reading this, I assume you are familiar with my way to write and my opinions if this is not the case I suggest you read ECP part 1 before.
This time to go through the examples you need an excellent visualization, or a chessboard, or an Internet connection to follow the games, going to and fro, and download the PGN.
Novice and intermediate players are the target of this book, class C and below, up to 1500 Fide Elo rating.
While this book was prepared for a monochromatic e-ink display, better experience with Fire or PC
Enjoy the reading
Rodolfo Pardi, librarian, FSI (Italian Chess Federation) instructor and tournament director

ECP 2 Encyclopedia of Chess Patterns part 2 Tactics edition by Rodolfo Pardi Evelyne Nicod Humor Entertainment eBooks
I recently purchased the “Encyclopedia of Chess Patterns, Part 2” by Rodolfo Pardi. This is the third in a series of books that teaches chess players how to recognize certain patterns of moves on a chess board through visualization. The first two books, “FCP: Fundamental Chess Patterns 1-50, a Handbook,” (FCP) and the “Encyclopedia of Chess Patterns, Part 1” (ECP1) include 101 different patterns of increasing difficulty and complexity for readers to study and analyze.Rodolfo Pardi, a self-described “librarian, instructor, and arbiter of the Italian Chess Federation,” has an interesting theory about how to improve chess playing skills through the mastery of basic move patterns. He suggests that a thorough understanding of these patterns on a chessboard will help chess players improve their game better than “learning through practice” or “studying the games of masters.” In “FCP” and “ECP1,” he offers a series of 101 diagrams showing what he considers the most fundamentally important patterns that players should learn by heart.
In the “Encyclopedia of Chess Patterns, Part 2” (shortened to “ECP2” for this review), Pardi shows readers how to apply pattern recognition to specific chess tactics – the fork, the pin, and the skewer (what Pardi calls “lined up pieces). Pardi shows tactical patterns for each of the pieces through large, colorful diagrams and clear, concise, and easily understandable explanations. Pardi also includes a section on playing from an inferior position, and offers diagrams and analyses on how to avoid your own blunders while forcing your opponent into blunders of his/her own.
When I first began using Pardi’s handbooks, I was a bit skeptical of his theories on recognizing chess patterns as a key to playing better chess. I dove into the “Encyclopedia of Chess Patterns Parts 1 and 2" anyway. Pardi’s concepts quickly proved their value to me. I am definitely achieving better results in my gameplay.
To me, “ECP2” has been the most helpful of Pardi’s three handbooks, because it applies the theory of chess patterns to specific tactical situations on the chessboard. This book belongs in every chess student’s library. Most highly recommended.

Simple but good and useful
Excellent combination of two previous excellent books by the same author
Its impossible to learn everything about chess let all master it. Well, there is hope now. This book covers all the essentials that every player from beginner to grand master must know in an easy to understand format.
